GO WITH THE FLO Floyd Mayweather, 47, announces his next fight with rematch to settle feud after ugly end to first clash

FLOYD MAYWEATHER announced he will rematch John Gotti III on August 24 in Mexico to settle their feud.

A punch up broke out in the ring after Gotti was disqualified with 

Mayweather teased that a rematch but talks later broke down.

Although there will now be another chapter with a sequel set for the summer in Mexico.

Mayweather, 47, posted on Instagram: “August 24th Mayweather Vs. Gotti 3 Rematch in Mexico City. This is something you don’t want to miss!!”

Gotti is 5-1 in MMA and 2-0 as a professional boxer before he faced unbeaten icon Mayweather.

But he has continued to box in exhibition bouts against stars of the social media, MMA and boxing world.

Gotti, 31, was his last opponent as Mayweather remains a money-maker The self-proclaimed billionaire has been linked with rematches against the likes of McGregor, 35, and Manny Pacquiao, 45.

But in 2022, Mayweather insisted he will never return to the ring to fight in potentially health damaging bouts.

He said: “I retired from the sport, and I didn’t let the sport retire me.

“I’m always going to put myself in a position now to where I, just like I was doing — fighting at the highest level. I was dictating and being in control.

“I’m not going to go in there with no former fighters, former world champions, putting more abuse on my body. I retired for a reason.

“I’m here to have fun and enjoy myself — sometimes three rounds, sometimes eight rounds, with guys that are going to help me entertain people.”
