Heavyweight champions Fury and Usyk fight for all four major titles tonight in Saudi Arabia. Their mega-fight will crown the first undisputed champion at their weight class since Lennox Lewis achieved the remarkable feat in 1999. Fury is expected to make 70 percent of the total fight purse as Usyk will likely pocket around £35million for the undisputed clash.

WHY Tyson Fury net worth as heavyweight earns another £80million tonight

The Brit hasn’t fought since winning a controversial decision against former champion in their crossover bout last October. Fury, whose paydays have skyrocketed since fighting to a draw with   in 2018, pocketed an estimated £50million for his nervy win against Ngannou.

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to lock horns in a huge bout on May 18 with each fighter attempting to etch their name in boxing history as the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999. The stakes couldn’t be higher as the pair will go head to head for the prestigious WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF titles.

“There is no question he is Britain’s highest earner, by far,” Fury’s promoter Frank Warren said. “He’s made big money; think of all the records. He was in the highest-grossing heavyweight fight ever to take place in Las Vegas between him and The fight at Wembley Stadium against  was the highest-grossing event they’ve ever had.

“He sold 60,000 tickets at Tottenham for an open-air show in December against Derek Chisora – come on, that’s what he is. “If he beats Usyk he will have done something no-one else has ever done. He will have unified four belts, nobody has ever done that. “I said to him, ‘You will care about your legacy when you retire – and everywhere you go, if you do the business, they’ll say there’s the man’.

“I just feel Tyson will show and prove that he is the best heavyweight of his generation by far. I think he will just keep him on the back foot and just break him down.” Fury has an estimated net worth of just under £300million and regardless of tonight’s result, he will earn another massive payday when he fights Usyk for the second time in October.

Fury has been respectable of Usyk throughout fight week but weighing in at his lightest in five years for the fight. “I’m going to knock this little f***er spark out. I’m coming for his heart, that’s what I’m coming for. F*** his belts, I’m coming for his f****ng heart. F*** him and f*** all of his team too, f*** the lot of them. They can all get it if they want too, s***houses,” he said.

Joshua is on a collision course with Fury and the rivals could meet at the end of this year for all four heavyweight world titles

Anthony Joshua has warned Tyson Fury he will use his trash talk as fuel when they eventually meet in the ring.

Joshua and Fury have been on a collision course since Joshua became  champion in 2016 but a fight has failed to materialise. Fury holds one of the heavyweight world titles and will take on fellow champion Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 to crown the first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

Joshua, who knocked out former  champion in the second round last month, hopes to fight the winner this year. And he has revealed he will use Fury’s long list of insults to help prepare him for his fellow countryman.

“This is one of my rivals,” Joshua will say on The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend. “This is someone I want to compete with one day so everything he says, I’ve got it all stored in the back of my memory and when the fight happens, I’m going to use it as a lot of fuel.

“I think what they’re saying is be patient because you’ve got \ vs Oleksandr Usyk for all the belts and then once that’s done hopefully I can kick down the door and get my opportunity.”

Joshua’s next fight is set to take place at Wembley in September, likely against the winner of Filip Hrgovic’s proposed clash with \. That fight is expected to be for the IBF world title which will be stripped from Fury or Usyk if they push ahead with their plan for a rematch.

Anthony Joshua sends warning to Tyson Fury ahead of blockbuster fight

That would leave Joshua with the chance to become a three-time champion in front of a home crowd before the end of the year. “Around September is when I’ve been told,” he added. “I was hoping June. I’ve got some time to go on dates now and mingle a little bit. I’m training at the minute, I’ve got two months before I get into training camp.

“I think what they’re saying is be patient because you’ve got Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk for all the belts and then once that’s done hopefully I can kick down the door and get my opportunity.”

  • Fury suspended after Usyk loss and his rematch clause to be activated.
  • Usyk becomes undisputed heavyweight champ, no broken jaw. Fury hints at future plans.
  • Usyk receives longer medical suspension than Fury, bout planned at year-end. Earns more financially.

has been suspended from boxing just days after his loss to Oleksandr Usyk in their highly anticipated undisputed heavyweight title fight. The match, held in Saudi Arabia, marked the first defeat of Fury’s professional career, with Usyk securing a split-decision victory to claim the title.

Fury, known as the ‘Gypsy King,’ lost his WBC heavyweight world title to Usyk, who now holds the distinction of being the first undisputed heavyweight champion in over two decades. The bout was a grueling encounter, with Usyk appearing to damage Fury’s nose in the eighth round. Despite a valiant effort, Fury struggled to recover and was forced to take a standing count in the ninth round after enduring a fierce onslaught from Usyk.

Fury managed to reach the final bell, but the judges’ scores reflected Usyk’s dominance, with two judges favoring Usyk and one siding with Fury. Following the fight, both boxers received medical suspensions. Usyk, who boxed under a licence from the United Arab Emirates Commission, was handed a 14-day medical suspension due to an impacted tooth implant, ruling him out of action until June 2.

‘The Gypsy King’ Receives A Shorter Suspension Than Usyk

Fury, who fought under a Nevada license, received a shorter suspension of one week, according to  This means Fury will be eligible to return to the ring from Saturday. The British Boxing Board of Control, which oversaw the undercard fights, reportedly had no knowledge of Usyk’s brief ban or Fury’s suspension, which only came to light on Friday.

In the post-fight press conference, Fury, showing signs of the brutal contest, hinted at his future plans. “I’m fresh out of the fight, as you can see from my face I’m a bit busted up. And he’s gone to hospital with a broken jaw and he’s busted too,” Fury remarked. “So we’ve punched the s*** out of each other for 12 rounds there. I’m going to go home, eat some food, drink some beers, have some family time, walk the dog, go to the tip. And me and Frank [Warren] will talk about what’s going to happen in the future.”

While Usyk has a medical check following the fight, he did not suffer a broken jaw. The Ukrainian pugulist suffered several bruises to his hands and his face.

Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has confirmed that he will activate his rematch clause. The rematch is expected to take place at the end of the year or in 2025.

Tyson Fury says fighters who are negative about the bout between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are jealous of the money expected to be made.

Clearly he feels differently.

“I’m over the moon for it,” Fury, the heavyweight champion boxer,  “Looking forward to it. I get to see the legend in Mike Tyson back in the ring.’’

It’ll be Tyson’s first sanctioned pro fight since 2005 and his first appearance in the ring since he fought Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition in 2020.

Fury, named after Tyson, called the exhibition between Iron Mike and Jones “fantastic.”

“So I get to see him again, live and exclusive as an adult,” he added. “What a treat.”

Fury made the comments while before his own much-anticipated fight Saturday against Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed world heavyweight title. In addition to sharing his enthusiasm for Tyson, he lauded Paul and Paul’s brother Logan. (He did note the rivalry between Jake Paul and Fury’s brother, Tommy, who handed Jake Paul his lone defeat by split decision in February 2023.)

Tyson Fury says fighters hating on Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul bout are just jealous

“I know we’ve got a rivalry going on with Tommy but I’ve got to speak how I see it,” Fury  said. “Jake and Logan have done absolutely fantastic I think for themselves.

“From becoming like young kids to being multimillionaires and YouTubers and wrestlers and boxers and everything else and entertaining.

“I know they’ve got a lot of haters and stuff. However, I’m not one of them. I’m a fan and I support them. I support people going in and making lots of millions of dollars out of boxing, my sport.”

The Tyson-Paul fight is scheduled for July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and it will be livestreamed by Netflix.

This was not an Open goodbye though, with Woods admitting afterwards that he has every intention of competing at Royal Portrush next year. Asked if he will be playing at the Northern Irish setup in 2025, he replied: “Next year’s Open? Yeah, definitely,” with a wide smile.

Having kicked off his championship with an eight-over 79 on Thursday, Woods left himself with plenty of work to do in round two, but once again struggled to find his best golf. A seven-over 78 followed on day two, with the testing Troon conditions proving all too much for the 82-time PGA Tour winner.

Assessing his Friday, Woods said: “Well it wasn’t very good. I made a double there at 2 right out of the hopper when I needed to go the other way. Just was fighting it pretty much all day. I never really hit it close enough to make birdies and consequently made a lot of bogeys.”

Legendary golfer Tiger Woods is making an appearance this week in metro Detroit as his son, Charlie, competes at the U.S. Junior Amateur in Oakland Hills. The historic golf club in Bloomfield Township is hosting 264 of the best junior golfers in the world this week. The first two rounds are Monday and Tuesday, and then the top 64 players will make the cut and compete in match play through the weekend.

Woods’ career seems to be winding down as he missed the cut in three of the four majors this year, only showing form at the Masters where he came in 60th. These days, he’s more often spotted supporting his son Charlie from the sidelines, adhering to tournament rules that prevent him from coaching.

Despite this, Tiger’s passion is clear for all to view, as he was seen whispering words of encouragement to 15-year-old Charlie during the tournament. Charlie aims to follow in his father’s footsteps, and the sporting legend can’t hide his delight at his son’s development.

“His speed has gone dramatically up this year,” Tiger remarked at the end of 2023. “He’s hitting it past me now. I enjoy caddying for him and being there with him, just to talk through shots with him and have him understand what I would see or… the thought process I would have going through. He would bounce things off of me, and (I would) give him my take on certain things.”

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones claims to know what it’s like not to get everything on his wish list. “Believe it or not, in my life, I’ve had a lot of things that I wanted but couldn’t afford it,” Jones said in his annual State of the Cowboys press conference, which was delayed due to a federal court appearance involving a paternity claim and countersuit involving Alexandra Davis. Most of the attention in a press conference that trickled into the start of practice signaled by sounding air horns in the background was focused on financial issues and cap decisions with direct implications for the Cowboys’ critical personnel. Dallas has 30 players on expiring contracts entering the 2024 season, with Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott the most prominent. Jones understands that it sets up a year with “a lot on the line.” “There’s nothing bright-lined about the kinds of things noted in this offseason that aren’t happening. It’s got a lot more ambiguity to it,” Jones said Thursday. Jones said that “70 percent of your whole payroll” will go to Prescott, holdout wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and outside linebacker Micah Parsons eventually, and reminded the Cowboys are still paying “the credit card bill” for restructuring bygone contracts. Prescott, who turns 31 on Monday, is in the final year of his contract and isn’t eligible to be given the franchise tag. Lamb, 25, was a camp no-show with $17.99 million due in salary for 2024, the final year of his contract. Parsons, 25, has one year left on his four-year, $17.1 million rookie deal, and the Cowboys exercised his $21.3 million option for 2025, making him eligible for an extension. “That’s a challenge. How do you keep a supporting cast around (Dak) and make all of that work out? It’s real,” Jones said. Head coach Mike McCarthy sits at the middle of the mounting challenges but said he feels none of the pressure or perspiration of the outside media and fans focused on contracts and players who aren’t in attendance at camp in Oxnard, Calif. He’s also working on an expiring contract but didn’t want to discuss it Thursday. “I view this question the same my whole tenure as a head coach. That’s part of the business of the National Football League,” McCarthy said. “My energy, my focus, the players and the coaching staff is not even close to what we’ve been talking about the last 30 minutes. We’re excited by the opportunity in front of us. … The contract conversations, we talked about that back in the spring, and that’s where that lies with me. That’s not the way we’re wired. We can’t be wired that way. We’re on an 11-hour workday.” Jones said he’s still more than comfortable being responsible “for any and everything that goes on” under the Cowboys’ roof. He said he’s only comfortable operating that way because “I can’t delegate that.” Jones said he’s not “sitting up there throwing darts” when asked about why the GM job wasn’t on the line but the coach and players are fighting for their next season, said other teams change coaches and general managers far more frequently while the Cowboys have had two. Stephen Jones remains a loud voice in the front office and indicated the Cowboys expect to be able to sign all of their key players with roster situations in flux. “I just think it’s very unique that you have a top quarterback on your team as well as two players on either side of the ball that feel like, and rightfully so, they’re the best non-quarterback players in the league. It stresses the cap,” Stephen Jones said. “We think we can get it done. We think we can get Dak done. But there are tough decisions that you have to make if you want to keep your up-and-coming players. It’s a good problem to have.” Jerry Jones said in Lamb’s case he was “waiting for more leaves to fall,” before addressing his contract. Jones said there are “hundreds of times” in his life experiences when hindsight would indicate he maybe should have handed the ball off and not pitch it, equating his role as GM to being an option quarterback. He also referenced the “Ben Franklin Method” in listing “We’re buying time. We’re option quarterbacking, going out toward the sideline and we haven’t pitched the ball,” Jerry Jones said. “That’s what we’re doing. And we’re waiting for something to happen in the morning.” –Field Level Media

Left tackle Trent Williams was placed on the did not report list on Thursday as the San Francisco 49ers began training camp without their premier offensive lineman. Under terms of the collective bargaining agreement, the 49ers can fine Williams $50,000 per absence during camp. Williams, an 11-time Pro Bowl selection, is owed $74.76 million over the next three seasons — but none of the compensation is guaranteed. Williams cleared the midway point of six-year, $138.06 million deal and is entering the fourth year of the agreement. “It’s something I knew could be a possibility, and I was hoping that he would be here,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said of Williams. “But I knew it could be a possibility, and I feel pretty confident that it will all work out in the long run and he’ll be here, and we’ll get on the same page with everything. It’s just one day of practice, and I think Trent will be all right missing a few practices.” Williams was a first-team All-Pro in each of the past three seasons. The 36-year-old is entering his fifth season with San Francisco, which gave up third- and fifth-round picks to acquire him from Washington. A seven-time Pro Bowl selection in nine campaigns with Washington, Williams sat out the entire 2019 season as part of a dispute with Washington over the handling of his health and injury issues, including a rare form of cancer, and his contract. Williams has a cap figure of $31.6 million for 2024. He is stated to earn $20.05 million this season as well as $750,000 more in game-day roster bonuses. He will make $22.5 million next season and $32.21 million in 2026. Williams’ average annual salary of $23.01 million is fourth highest among NFL left tackles. He moved down a spot Tuesday when Christian Darrisaw of the Minnesota Vikings signed a four-year, $113 million extension that will average a tackle-record $28.25 million a season. Shanahan didn’t want to have a deep discussion about the contract situation. “A lot of things play into it but I’m not going to get into the personal parts of the contract,” Shanahan said. –Field Level Media

ASHTON SYLVE once looked destined to sign for Floyd Mayweather – but he turned down the boxing hero for Jake Paul.

Sylve was a national amateur standout with over 110 bouts and ten titles to his name.

Ashton Sylve met Floyd Mayweather as a kid but turned down the legend’s offer to promote him

And growing up, he was a regular in , where he caught the eye of the American icon.

Sylve, 20, told SunSport: “Since I was young he was always like, ‘When you’re ready. We’re here whenever you’re ready.’

“Whenever I saw him he would say, ‘Whenever you’re ready, whenever you’re ready.’”

Sylve left behind the amateurs to turn professional in 2020 The hot prospect had a host of top promoters lining up to secure his signature but dad and mentor Ivan insisted they held out.

Floyd Mayweather wanted to sign me but I turned it down… now I’m with Jake Paul and on course for a world title shot

Sylve revealed: “It was honestly real hard

“I was at a point where I was not going to listen to my dad, it was kind of taking too long and I was like five or six fights in.

“I was ready to be on the big stage and I thought Floyd or whoever else would have put me on that spotlight.

“But everything happens for a reason and that’s when Jake came around I think two fights later and Nakisa came to one of my fights.

Floyd Mayweather was caught on camera getting into it with the Pacers mascot Boomer while watching the NBA in-season tournament in Las Vegas

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. was spotted in a heated exchange with the mascot Boomer during an NBA tournament.

Mayweather, who was in Las Vegas to witness and the  the tournament, was seen arguing with Boomer after complaining about a foul given to the Pacers. Fans were left puzzled as Mayweather argued with the mascot, who likely couldn’t be heard under his large mask.

The spat started when the Pacers mascot began gesturing towards Mayweather, leading to a back-and-forth between the two. Mayweather, a regular at NBA games since retiring from boxing, has fought John Gotti III, former British TV star Aaron Chalmers, and YouTuber Deji Olatunji – KSI’s younger brother – in exhibition bouts which have been much maligned by boxing fans.

The American boxing legend has been largely unchallenged in those bouts, with some making the same joke after seeing him have the altercation with the mascot. One fan wrote: ”  vs Boomer the Mascot coming soon,” while another said: “His next opponent for exhibition fight.” Mayweather looked pleased to see James add more silverware to his incredible NBA career – now in his 23rd season.

Floyd Mayweather in argument with Indiana Pacers mascot during LeBron James game

The four-time NBA champion added a fifth trophy to his resume by way of the new In-Season Tournament, which was introduced this season. The Lakers beat the Pacers 123-109 in Las Vegas, with every player on the roster winning $500,000 in prize money.

While it won’t rank among his greatest achievements, James was seen celebrating like he’d won the championship – drawing some criticism online. When asked why he felt the need to celebrate, he replied: “Because my youngers over here, my rookies, my second-year guys, some of them haven’t experienced playoff basketball, some of their pay cheques aren’t as equipped as some of the older guys on our team,”

“Then some of our fans, during the December and January months, they kind of stall out a little bit. So I felt like it was my responsibility, my obligation to keep everybody engaged, including my teammates, including our fans, for our beautiful sport, so that’s why I was locked in from day one.”
