t’s been a decade since singer Ray J and retored boxer Floyd Mayweather had a falling out over a shared love interest. At the time when Ray J really started dating Princess Love Norwood, Floyd famously dated the celebrity before his friend. In the end, Ray J married Princess Love but he is currently estranged from her. Recently, the TV personality appeared on the Shannon Sharpe show to talk about personal stuff and got around to discussing his falling out with Floyd. Right now, Ray J is no longer friends with Mayweather and he is not in speaking terms with his wife. Although he did make a plea for someday fixing his relationship with the former boxer.

Ray J got married to Floyd Mayweather’s interest

The entire event took place a decade ago and none of them have spoken since. Ray J sat down with Sharpe to talk about his career and that’s when he got a little emotional speaing about his falling out with Mayweather. Also, he left an open door for a potential reconciliation. He said: “It was weird because I really liked her and she was still kind of like in a situation with P.B. Because I loved her. He [Floyd Mayweather] didn’t love her. I’ve seen him out and it’s all love. I don’t have any issues and he doesn’t either. But our friendship is not there no more. Not that he gives a f*ck. I got nothing but love for [Floyd Mayweather], and that’s so long ago, I’m sure he’s good now.

This is a love triangle situation that happens in regular life more often than one thinks, it’s been happening for a long time. Friendships can be destroyed for love while relationships get stronger because of the same reason. Meanwhile, Princess Love is living a great career in television and enjoying life without her estranged husband. She is truly a star of reality TV shows and other series from various streaming services. It remains to be seen if this friendship will ever go back to good terms, only time will tell.

The now former CEO of Mayweather Promotions has been somehow in the middle, as ‘Cash’ Mayweather officially announced Ellerbe’s departure on Instagram on Thursday and now, his role in the company has been assumed by the former CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, Richard Schäfer

While there were rumors of the same thing happening, the update came as a shock to everyone. Ellerbe has been Floyd Mayweather’s close confidant since the beginning of his boxing career, but things appear to have changed as Mayweather Promotions has fallen in recent years. Amid all this, Floyd’s uncle Jeff Mayweather has shed light on how Ellerbe handled the tumultuous relationship between Davis and Mayweather.

It was a very interesting way to deal with the situation

While Mayweather has often slyly criticized Davis since the boxer left his promotions company, things had gotten so bad that Davis had even started rumors about Floyd being stuck in Dubai, while the duo began openly bashing each other on social media platforms. So, in response to the question, Jeff acknowledged that it was, in fact, extremely difficult for Ellerbe to deal with the situation. However, he noted, “Many times friends want you to choose a side.”

However, it seems that Ellerbe chose to be smart with his actions, as Jeff said, “But I mean, Leonard is smart enough not to take sides and just stayed in business.” Meanwhile, Schaefer is mulling over the possibility of taking over Ellerbe’s old position.

Schaefer, who began his career in the banking sector, worked with Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Promotions from 2000 to 2016 and then started the Ringstar Sports and Probellum boxing promotions with mixed results. However, since he has promoted some big pay-per-view fights with Mayweather, he accepted the job while being in the former five-division champion’s good books.

Ryan Garcia celebrates Nate Diaz’s victory overJorge Masvidal with strange request

Despite these worries, both Tyson and Paul have confirmed that the fight will go on as planned.

‘The Problem Child,’ has faced significant criticism for choosing opponents who are well past their prime. However, he has also garnered support from some quarters.

Mayweather praises Paul

Former champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has shown support for Paul, despite their past contentious encounters.

In a recent interview, Mayweather was asked about Jake Paul‘s boxing credentials and offered some surprising insights.

During the interview, host Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson of ‘It Is What It Is’ inquired about Mayweather‘s thoughts on a rematch with Logan Paul before shifting focus to Jake Paul.

“I mean what he’s doing is kind of cool if he can continue to steal money and they match him the way they match him,” he noted.

“I can’t knock his hustle, so if they can match him the way they how they’ve been matching him more power to him.”

Tyson and Paul‘s fight will consist of eight two-minute rounds with both fighters wearing 14oz gloves. Tyson‘s last fight was an un-scored exhibition against Jones Jr. four years ago, on the same event where Paul knocked out NBA star Nate Robinson

Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are about to do their thing again. The duo is set to square off at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

Diaz retired from the UFC after his contract expired and is now a free agent, as is Jorge Masvidal.

The duo are set to square off in a 10-round boxing match. This would be Diaz’s second outing in boxing and it looks like the former UFC fighter is willing to fight anyone for the money now. Ahead of their showdown, let’s see how Diaz feels about boxing.

Nate Diaz would fight anyone

The last time Nate Diaz stepped into a boxing ring, he showed tremendous boxing instincts, but was ultimately defeated by Jake Paul by unanimous decision.

Paul promised he would face Diaz in an MMA bout, but it appears the Stockton native has other plans before facing him again.

Prior to their showdown, Diaz claimed he would accept a matchup against anyone for money.

“I had five fights in the UFC after Ultimate Fighter against opponents ranked in the top 10. Then I demanded the top 10, and I’ve been fighting them for 25-30 fights in the UFC. Now, whatever I do, I look for the best fighter I can fight. I can fight anybody for $10 million, and I’ll probably get $10 million,” said Nate Diaz in an interview with MMAFightingWithSBN.

He added: “I want to fight the best of the best or the biggest. Everybody thinks Jake Paul does, so why am I not going to fight him? You know what I’m saying. So I’ll take the best.”

He acknowledged that he has begun practicing mental agility exercises to prevent neurological deterioration, similar to what other members of his boxing family have suffered.

In the Mayweather family, both Floyd Sr. and his uncle, Roger, require special care due to neurological damage that has resulted in memory loss. This problem has also started to affect Floyd Jr.

“The memory loss could be from boxing, or it could be something that runs in the family,” he said in an interview on the podcast Come and Talk 2 Me with Ma$e, Cam’ron, and Treasure ‘Stat Baby’ Wilson.

“For example, my uncle Roger (Mayweather), it got really bad for him, so I ended up hiring someone to take care of him, and the same thing is happening to my dad (Floyd Sr.).

Throughout his career, ‘Money’ was known for his elusiveness, primarily using the ‘shoulder roll’ technique – a sideways stance that his father and uncle also popularized in the 1980s, allowing them to dodge opponents’ punches with quick waist movements.

Mayweather Jr. took this further, achieving an undefeated career with 50 fights and 27 knockouts.

“It might be something genetic in the family. Even I feel that mentally I’m not 100 percent like before. I like to do different exercises, puzzles, word games, to keep my mind healthy,” said Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Life After Boxing for Floyd Mayweather

Mayweather Jr. retired at 40 in August 2017. Since then, he has participated in some exhibition matches, though he has declined to fight former boxers, stating that he has accomplished everything in boxing. In his exhibition bouts, he tries to avoid taking significant damage from his opponents.

However, it seems the former boxer has started to show signs of erratic behavior. Recently, he missed two scheduled commitments in Mexico without any explanation.

Mayweather was supposed to hold a press conference to promote an exhibition fight at the Arena Ciudad de México and conduct a mass boxing class for city residents.

Mayweather failed to show up and did not inform the organizers in Mexico. He even deleted the promotional content for his fight in Mexico from his social media.

After several days, he reappeared and reposted the event poster: “Mexico, I’ll see you soon. Stay tuned for details about the upcoming exhibition,” he wrote on his Instagram account.

However, in the new poster, the fighter did not announce who his opponent would be, leaving the organization of the event unclear

Ryan Garcia says goodbye to his children in emotional video before entering rehab

Garcia has accustomed his fans to generating controversy by criticizing his opponents and displaying erratic behavior on his social media, expressing a barrage of confusing and offensive ideas to many. Now, he has surprised everyone with a unique and special moment with his young children before undergoing a rehabilitation process to recover his mental and physical health.

Ryan Garcia says goodbye to his children before his rehabilitation

Ryan Garcia is suffering the consequences of his social media posts, his behavior exposed to everyone is pushing him further and further away from professional boxing, it seems that he is the only one responsible for ending his boxing career by giving himself a knockout.

Garcia has been suspended for doping for a year after testing positive for Ostarine before and on the same day of his fight against Devin Haney last April. At the time, the fighter stated that he would move to the UFC after learning of his boxing suspension. Will the UFC accept someone as controversial and problematic as Ryan?

Ryan received a hard blow after learning of the message from the president of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaiman. Due to Garcia’s racist comments on social media, the WBC decided to expel him from the organization.

“Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization,” Sulaiman shared on his social media.

And if that wasn’t enough, Ryan seems to embarrass his family, Garcia’s parents took to social media to claim that their son requires assistance.

“Our family unequivocally does not support any statements he has made regarding race or religion – these do not reflect who Ryan truly is and how he was raised,” read the family’s statement.

Now that Ryan has agreed to begin a rehabilitation process to recover his mental and physical health, he said goodbye to his children in a unique moment of tenderness that is very rare to see Garcia, in the clip the boxer is lying on his bed, while his two little ones hug him and smile being happy with their father. The scene is so heartwarming that it seems he is not as controversial a person as he has proven to be.

Now that Garcia seems to have hit rock bottom, he will be looking for a way to get back in the ring through a rehabilitation process. Let’s hope to see Ryan back in the ring very soon, demonstrating his boxing skills in a spectacular fight.

Retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. is reportedly expected to announce an upcoming exhibition fight against Victor Ortiz.

According to ESPN’s Salvador Rodríguez, the bout will take place Aug. 24 at Plaza de Toros Mexico in Mexico City, which is the largest bullring in the world, holding over 41,000 spectators.

Mayweather and Ortiz had an official fight against each other in September 2011. Mayweather was victorious via fourth-round knockout.

At the time of that contest, Ortiz was 29-2-2 and coming off a WBC welterweight title win over Andre Berto.

Meanwhile, Mayweather had not fought in 16 months, but he made a huge impact upon returning to the ring by beating Ortiz for the WBC welterweight title.

Mayweather went a perfect 50-0 in his career, but the win over Ortiz was perhaps his most controversial victory.

After the fighters were separated due to Ortiz hitting Mayweather with an illegal headbutt, Ortiz hugged Mayweather in an apparent attempt to apologize. Once he let go, Mayweather caught Ortiz with an unexpected punch, prompting Ortiz to look toward the official. Mayweather then punched Ortiz again, resulting in a knockout.

Mayweather went on to beat the likes of Miguel Cotto, Canelo Álvarez, Manny Pacquiao and even UFC star Conor McGregor after that, while Ortiz’s career was never quite the same.

The loss to Mayweather was the start of a three-fight losing streak for Ortiz. He also went on to lose a rematch to Berto and a bout against Robert Guerrero.

Ortiz went just 4-4-1 after the Mayweather fight and retired following a win over Todd Manuel in 2022.

While Ortiz has been out of boxing for the past couple of years, Mayweather has continued to take part in exhibitions even after retiring following his win over McGregor in 2017.

Mayweather’s exhibition opponents since 2018 have included three Japanese kickboxers and MMA fighters, YouTuber and WWE Superstar Logan Paul, and most recently John Gotti III, who is the grandson of notorious mobster John Gotti.
